actually wish this had been kept in(do like kingdom hearts 2 somewhat references it.) as i love ariel fights ursula/properly apologizes to king triton seeing him be friendly to eric,ursula going primal in rage squishing her tentacles through the rocks trying to catch eric like an octopus catching it's prey/trying to outright drown him & sebastian making up for somewhat causing it helping save eric.(would've liked scuttle helping out biting ursula's tentacles to free eric.:3)

I feel like this ending is more in character for Ariel for me. In other words, I thought it was stupid, but they did with their character in the final product in the movie, not the series. The series was awesome.
